A stunningly marked kitten was discovered roaming outside, but two months later, her dream came true when she found three other cats to call friends.
Meet Cloud and Polly
Shelly, an animal rescuer with over 12 years of experience, was recently reached out to help three tiny kittens. These little ones were discovered by a kind passerby wandering the streets without their mother. Even though the momma cat was located, she didn’t seem interested in caring for her offspring. The kittens were malnourished and suffering from eye infections that had caused crusty shut eyes. Shelly quickly sprang into action and picked up the smallest of the trio, providing urgent care. She then went back to attend to the other two. Today, we would like you to meet Cloud and Polly.
The kittens were discovered wandering alone without their mother. Shelly, who already had 16 rescued animals to care for, decided to take them in despite being busy. She thought that since the kittens were already three weeks old, they could start weaning soon. Shelly shared this heartwarming story with Love Meow.
As soon as the puppies were introduced to the bottle, Polly, Cloud, and Destiny quickly adapted to their new feeding routine. Shelly, who had been tirelessly caring for the pups, continued to use the bottle for a few more weeks while gradually introducing mixed wet food. Sadly, despite all her efforts, Destiny, the smallest of the litter, eventually succumbed to her health issues. Nevertheless, Polly and Cloud thrived on the bottle, eagerly filling their bellies with each feeding.
Shelly from 5_star_strays witnessed a remarkable transformation in Polly and Cloud. Thanks to adequate care and nourishment, the feline duo’s health improved significantly. Their eyesight became clearer, their physical condition enhanced, and they became more active than ever before. Shelly expressed her relief, saying that she was fortunate enough to intervene at the right time, preventing any irreversible harm. The kittens’ mother has also undergone spaying, and additional cats from the vicinity have received similar treatment.
Shelly from 5_star_strays shared about the gorgeous Polly, a calico with stunning markings and an even bigger personality. As she grew, her fur coat became even more striking and shiny, making her stand out even more. Polly confidently walked around with her tail held high, while her brother Cloud followed closely behind, exploring their surroundings with curious eyes. They both learned how to eat from a dish and use the litter box, figuring it all out together.
Cloud and Polly have made great strides in their growth and development. According to Shelly, who goes by the username @5_star_strays, the two kittens are progressing exactly as they should be. They were even given the opportunity to socialize with other fosters in the household, which they did with ease. After taking the time to get to know the other cats, Cloud and Polly happily engaged in playful activities with them, fitting in seamlessly with their new “clowder.”

After a complete recovery, Polly and Cloud transformed into lively young cats. As time went on, they became friends with many foster kittens, some of whom acted as their mentors. Eventually, when it was time to find Polly and Cloud a new home, Donna – who had previously adopted a cat from Shelly – expressed interest in adopting four kittens.
Shelly from the 5 Star Strays organization reported that Donna had developed a deep attachment to Polly and Cloud, along with their two foster companions, and could not bring herself to split them up. Fortunately, just one week ago, all four animals were happily adopted and have now settled into their permanent residence.
Shelly from the Instagram account @5_star_strays expressed her excitement about someone offering a home to four cats. She believes that such an opportunity is rare and too good to pass up. The four cats have now been in their new home for less than a week, and they have already adjusted well to their new environment. They are happily playing and running around with the other resident cats, bringing joy to their new family.
