Tiffany Haddish’s plan to hang out with Shakira after this year’s MTV Video Music Awards didn’t go as expected. Despite her efforts, the two were unable to socialize as planned.
In a sudden and unexpected move, Haddish crashed Shakira’s selfie photo while clutching the two VMAs she had just won. Throughout the rest of the party, Haddish continued to photobomb Shakira, enthusiastically shouting her name at every opportunity. Haddish’s photobombing antics didn’t stop there, as she later snuck up on Karol G during a photo with Shakira. That being said, Shakira did eventually pose with Haddish for a photo backstage. During the awards show, Shakira won Best Collaboration with Karol G for TQG and received the Video Vanguard Award. Meanwhile, Haddish presented the Best Afrobeats award to Rema and Selena Gomez for Calm Down. Despite not having any immediate plans to tie the knot, Haddish made headlines recently for purchasing a stunning wedding dress that she plans to dye in a purplish-blue hue.
After some convincing, Shakira finally gave in and posed for a picture with Haddish at the backstage red carpet location.
Haddish’s amusing act of photobombing Shakira did not occur just once, but twice at the awards ceremony. The humorous actress repeated her prank on the Latinx singer Karol G, while she was capturing a pose with Shakira.
Shakira was a double winner at the latest ceremony, taking home accolades for her collaborative efforts with Karol G on the track “TQG” and receiving the Video Vanguard Award.
While on the broadcast, Haddish took the stage to present the Best Afrobeats award, which was ultimately won by Rema and Selena Gomez for their song “Calm Down”. In a humorous moment, she revealed that she didn’t dye her hair herself, but instead paid someone else to do it. Additionally, she discussed her tendency to spend excessive amounts of money on gowns and recommended exploring custom-made options on AliExpress as a more affordable alternative. Haddish admitted to not always being completely satisfied with the clothing she received from the website, but usually opted to either keep it or donate it to foster youth in need of clothing.
