The One Where Jennifer Aniston Has a Glow-Up: Check Out All of the Actress’ Iconic Looks Over the Years!

Jennifer Aniston Through the Years

In her 50s and fabulous! Jennifer Aniston has been serving us some serious ~lewks~ since the early 90s. Whether she’s rocking “The Rachel” or a more modern cut, the actress can pull off just about anything. Sigh. Must be nice, huh?

When it comes to fashion, Jen has proven time and again that a black dress is her absolute favorite item of clothing. As far back as 1995, the Friends star was wearing the look to red carpet events. Flash forward nearly a decade and she donned a simple black slip dress for the 2004 premiere of then-husband Brad Pitt‘s film Troy.

Jen wowed in a super sexy black gown at the 2017 Oscars. At the age of 48, she was still in such amazing shape that the stunner pulled off one of her most amazing looks ever. The We’re The Miller’s star wore a black sequined Atelier Versace gown with a deep plunging V-neckline and a left side slit that came up to her hip. After over two decades of massive stardom, a black dress continued to be Jen’s go-to look.

Black also helps keep things simple and clean, as that’s been Jennifer’s style aesthetic she’s found her way to being one of Hollywood’s best-dressed women. She wore a plunging, black sleeveless jumpsuit to the 2021 HBO Max Friends reunion special. At the age of 52, Jen looked sensational … and her yoga-honed body looked just as fantastic as when the show debuted in 1994.

In addition to her fashion sense, Jennifer’s blown-out, golden highlighted locks are some of the most enviable tresses in Hollywood. Her longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan is known for creating “The Rachel” hairstyle in the mid-90s. Jennifer absolutely loathed the choppy layered bob, which became a worldwide hairstyle sensation after she debuted it midway through the first season of Friends.

Jennifer told Allure magazine in 2011, “I love Chris, and he’s the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen.”

The actress also hated how long it took to get the style just right. “’The Rachel’ was high maintenance,” Jen told Marie Claire. in 2013. “I’d curse Chris every time I had to blowdry. It took three brushes — it was like doing surgery!”

The Morning Show star ended up growing out “The Rachel” and has stuck primarily with a longish, blown-out straight style over the years. Sometimes she’ll rock her tresses with beachy waves, while occasionally adding a touch of curls. But Jen’s soft, straight golden locks have become her trademark look, as seen above in 2020 while wearing — what else? — a little black dress!

Jen was just four months shy of her wedding to Brad in March 2000 when she attended the SAG Awards. She opted for a slinky LBD and swept-back hair. Hubba, hubba!

In an interview with Rolling Stone, she admitted that her friends worried Brad would be a “conceited f–k” at first. Awk! However, they quickly came around. “You know, if there’s ever an argument, it’s not like you can go, ‘Screw you, I’m outta here!’ You’re there for the long haul,” she said about marriage. “It’s a beautiful thing to actually realize that for the first time, to have that knowing. It takes the heat and the weight out of things.”
