Jennifer Aniston recently announced that her mother, Nancy Dow, a Hollywood star, passed away at the age of 79 on May 25th. This comes just two weeks after the two reconciled following a five-year estrangement. The “Friends” star shared that it is a tremendous loss for her and her sister, and the family requests privacy during this time. Dow suffered a stroke in 2011, which left her unable to communicate or move before her passing.
Prior to their reconciliation, Jennifer and her mother had not been in contact for some time after Dow published a memoir called “From Mother and Daughter to Friends,” which detailed their relationship and Jennifer’s life. It was only after Jennifer’s divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005 and Dow’s stroke in 2011 that they reconnected and became close again.
Dow appeared in several TV shows in the 1960s and was married to Jack Melick in 1956, with whom she had a son before their divorce in 1961. She then married Hollywood actor John Aniston in 1965 and gave birth to Jennifer. However, the couple separated in 1980.
